Chesapeake Women's Network Announces 2007 Scholarships Winners

We were able to award $6,000 in scholarships this year.

Special thanks also to our Treasurer, Carllene Hurd, for all her help during the scholarship applicant interviews. We had seven (7) good candidates and made five (5) scholarship awards.

  Studying nursing at Chesapeake College
• Lynnette Lollar
  Chesapeake College – working towards a political science degree
• Kellie Knopp
  Nursing degree at Salisbury State University
• Sharon Rzepkowski
  Studying at UMBC to become a teacher
• Kelli Iannucci
  Studying nursing at Chesapeake College

A June Barbeque event was held at the Kent Island Yacht Club in honor of these Ladies.
Many of them are overcoming significant personal challenges to complete their degrees so they can better themselves and their families. They are all very grateful and will make us all proud for our support of their educational endeavors.

Thanks, again, to all of you who donated so generously to this very worthy cause.
